Post-surgery
Post-surgery was psychedelic, and somewhat detached from reality, as post-surgery usually is. Being stuffed with heavy doses of paracetamol and morphine, I didn't feel that much. I was told by the nurses not to forget to tell them when/if I felt pain so they could come and give me something to "top up". I forgot. Of course. Pain be thy name.
I was hungry. Very hungry. I was told I could eat as soon as I began to feel somewhat more clear in the head. I said I didn't care about my head but that I was hungry. The food was (actually) quite good. I was very (pleasantly) surprised!
I was up "walking" (hanging on a table with wheels 🙂) after 36 hours. Prior to that, I had mostly gone to the toilet, which in itself is somewhat of a triathlon when you have had hamstring surgery. Try to measure a 20 degree angle between your leg and your hip and you'll see what I mean.
I even got some flowers, hooray! 🙂
I don't think I'll be doing the rehab thing anytime soon though.

Post-surgery mugshot 🙂

Finally, some food! (And very nice tasting food it was.)

Some cacao and something good to read, good for post-surgery!
