Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
So the time had come for MRI. Two weeks exactly after the injury. One could argue that this is way too late for an injury of this type, but according to the emergency doctors at S:t Göran Hospital, this is well within their guidelines.
The MRI was no big deal. It took a while to go through the procedure. But paying and waiting for my turn actually took longer than it did to perform the actual MRI scan! Once the MRI was done, I limped to the time booking counter and insisted on getting an appointment to hear the results of the scan.
They couldn't give me one on the spot, so I gave them my phone number and told them I worked across the street and could more or less take any appointment time, including non-scheduled appointments.
The lady that worked there today called me shortly after I had left the hospital and said that the doctor had looked at the MRI scan and wanted to have a chat with me rather urgently. She suggested this coming Friday. Of course, that's the day I'm supposed to be moving from my apartment to my new house. What a great day for an appointment with a doctor.
Maybe if they would have done their homework right the first time, things wouldn't get this stressful ...
